Thank you for your interest in the VYSA Olympic Development Program. Your interest to the program is the result of your commitment, high qualities, and hard work thus far.
Players are required to attend district training sessions. District ODP training is not just about the tryout process for the state pools, but is yet another avenue from which players can grow and develop further. While a player’s club is his/her “home,” district ODP training provides an environment where players are playing with and against the best in their respective areas. District training has a minimum of 7 sessions to include inter-district games in November and December.
After the district training sessions, the State ODP pool will then be selected and the State ODP pool training will begin.
We are looking for players to play for the state that exhibit the skill, character and work ethic to train at all levels of the program. Players are expected to show up to practice on time and be properly prepared to train to include their dress, equipment, water, and character. Players are expected to communicate and discuss any difficulties they have with their pool coach.
Fall tryout/identification for all players takes place during the designated tryout weekend for your district. If you choose to register your player for this program, our coaching staff would need to evaluate your player and identify them to participate in the training pool. Identification fees for ODP are $40 online and $60 onsite.
After the online tryout window is closed, onsite registration will be available the day of the session. Please arrive 30 minutes early for onsite registration.
Once you commit to the program it is expressly understood by all players and their parents/guardians that once accepted to the program they are responsible for all fees associated with the program. No refunds will be given once accepted to the program should a player elect not to participate. Failure to remit payment for any fees associated with the program can result in your player’s suspension from their home club!
Additional information will be communicated to the players by their administrator. Please contact your District Administrator for further details.
Again, thank you for your interest in ODP.

It’s time to register for our hugely popular British Soccer Camp held every third week of July at CMS. Register by June 1st to get lots of extra freebies.
Christiansburg Soccer Club is pleased to announce partnership with Challenger Sports, providers of North America’s most popular soccer camp, to host a week long British Soccer camp – July 16th-20th @ Christiansburg Middle School, 1205 Buffalo Dr, Christiansburg, VA, 24073
Each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s British coaching staff flown into USA exclusively to work on these programs. This year Challenger will hold over 4,000 British Soccer Camps this summer and will coach over 150,000 players between the ages of 3 and 18, as well as completing FREE coach education clinics for over 40,000 parents and coaches.
Challenger’s British Soccer Camps are more than a week of drills and skills. In addition to taking part in a daily regimen of foot skill development (through the 1,000 touches curriculum), technical and tactical practices and daily ‘World Cup’ tournament style plays, each child will be treated to a rich cultural experience and lessons on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship. Each camp is custom built to meet the needs of your players so Challenger will be directed by Christiansburg Soccer Club on the content of the camp that they require.
Each camper will receive a FREE camp T-shirt, soccer ball, soccer poster, individual skills performance evaluation and free access to an educational soccer website. In addition, any child who signs up online by June 1st will receive a genuine British Soccer replica Jersey for just the cost of the shipping… (valued at $39).
